Nascido no dia 26 de outubro de 1951 em Cincinnati OH, fez história dentro da música funk. Esse gigante deixou-se notar desde quando tocava para a J.B.'s de James Brown , e depois com o Funkadelic, posteriormente com o Parliament e finalmente com a Bootsy Ruber Band.
