Biografia:

Blind Willie McTell nasceu em 5 de Maio de 1901 em Thomson, Geórgia.

Cego de nascença, adaptou-se à leitura em Braille, iniciando sua carreira em 1927 com um estilo singular, que variou do Blues Rural (Country Blues) ao Raw Blues do Delta do Mississippi. Sua carreira foi interrompida devido seu frágil estado de saúde, pois sofria de diabetes, e veio a falecer em 15 de Agosto de 1959 em Milledgeville.

McTell foi um Guitarrista ao estilo 'twelve-string finger picking', que dava aquele efeito acústico nas músicas.
