Biografia:
O Big Big Train é uma banda de rock progressivo formada em 1990. Os membros principais da banda são o letrista Gregory Spawton, o produtor Andy Poole e o vocalista David Longdon.
O primeiro álbum da banda, Goodbye to the Age of Steam foi lançado em 1994 e co-produzido Martin Orford da banda IQ. O álbum estabeleceu a melancolia típica da banda influenciada pelo rock progressivo da década de 70.
Após dois lançamentos mais acessíveis, a banda volta às suas raízes em 2004 com o lançamento do álbum conceitual Gathering Speed.
