August Burns Red é uma banda americana de metalcore cristão, formada em Lancaster, Pennsylvania, em março de 2003. Quando a banda começou a fazer shows em Lancaster, alguns integrantes ainda estavam no colegial. O nome da banda deriva de uma história noticiada na imprensa local, na qual uma jovem problemática atirou fogo no cachorro de estimação de seu ex-namorado. Eles citam Between the Buried and Me, Misery Signals e Hopesfall como suas principais influências.
