Biografia:

Athlete é uma banda de indie rock inglesa natural de Deptford, Londres, composta por Joel Pott (vocal e guitarra), Carey Willetts (baixo e vocal), Stephen Roberts (bateria e vocal) e Tim Wanstall (teclado e vocal). Recentemente, o quarteto recrutou Jonny Pilcher, da banda Weevil, como guitarrista em apresentações ao vivo.

Amigos desde os catorze anos, a banda sofreu influências de Grandaddy e The Flaming Lips em seu percurso, que começou praticando em 1999 no porão do The Bear, um pub inglês em Deptford.
