Army Of Lovers foi uma banda de sucesso, destaque nos Estados Unidos, Europa, Suécia e etc.
No começo, era apenas Barbie(1982-1987), composto apenas por Jean Pierre Barda (22 anos) Alexander Bard (27 anos) e Camilla Henemark (21-22 anos).
Mas só em 1987 se tornou Army Of Lovers (Exército de Amantes)
Ainda sem muito sucesso, fizeram seu primeiro CD chamado Disco Extravaganza (em alguns lugares, simplesmente Army of Lovers. 1987-1990)A venda de Disco Extravaganza foi de pelo menos 3,2 milhões de cópias.
