Biografia:
Angie Stone (Angela Laverne Brown, 30 janeiro de 1961) é uma cantora americana de R&B, soul e neo soul. Ela nasceu em Columbia, na Carolina do Sul (EUA), onde começou a cantar música gospel na Igreja Batista de First Nazareth, sob a liderança do reverendo Blakely N. Scott. No início dos anos 80, Stone (então conhecida como Angie B.) era membro do trio de hip hop/funk The Sequence. O trio de mulheres lançou o hit "Funk you up", que atingiu a décima-quinta posição nas paradas de black music nos Estados Unidos.
