Biografia:
A história do reggae africano com certeza não seria a mesma sem Alpha Blondy. Ele é considerado uma espécie de Bob Marley afro, com discursos contra o Apartheid e as brigas tribais que dominam o continente.
Nascido em Seydou Kone na Costa do Marfim, Blondy iniciou sua carreira como vocalista da banda de rock Atomic Vibrations. Bandeou-se para o lado do reggae após ouvir Bob Marley & The Wailers. Blondy gravou alguns singles na Jamaica, que não obtiveram sucesso esperado.
