Alice in Chains é uma banda dos Estados Unidos formada em 1987 em Seattle, Washington e que, ao lado de Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots e Pearl Jam, constitui um dos principais representantes do movimento Grunge, nascido no início da década de 1990 na mesma cidade. No entanto, apesar de pertencer ao movimento grunge, o som da banda tem influência de bandas do heavy metal e hard rock, ao invés do punk, o que a torna única no cenário da região na época.
