Alma Cogan fue una cantante inglesa de los años 50 y primeros 60 que murió joven, a los 34 años. En su corta vida profesional, sin embargo, logró colocar en la lista de éxitos inglesa numerosas canciones gracias a su voz característica y al repertorio escogido. Fue la cantante femenina mejor pagada en su tiempo. En estas grabaciones está acompañada por la orquesta de Franck Cordell.
