Biografia:
After Forever foi uma banda dos Países Baixos que misturava symphonic metal, progressive metal e power metal, e baseava-se no uso de vocais sopranos e death grunts (guturais e urrados). Sua música também era influenciada pela música erudita.
Formaram-se originalmente em 1995 sob o nome Apocalypse, seu gênero era orientado ao death metal. Com a entrada da vocalista Floor Jansen em 1997, o estilo da banda mudou em disposição à dar ênfase para sua voz.
