Biografia:
31 knots es una banda originada en Chicago en 1997 por el guitarrista Joe Haege y el bajista Jay Winebrenner. En 1998 se une Joe Kelly como baterista y deja el grupo en 2003 para ser reemplazado por Jay Pellicci de la banda Dilute.
Los primeros albumes exploran los limites de Rock trio Guitarra/Bajo/Bateria, mientras que sus más recientes discos añaden elementos de sintetizadores, piano y lírica mas especializada impulsando el sonido de 31 knots hacia un género más dificil de categorizar.
