The Neighbourhood consiste em Jesse Rutherford (cantor), Jeremy Freedman (guitarra), Zach Abels (guitarra), Mikey Margott (baixo) e Brandon Fried (bateria). No começo de 2012 uma misteriosa banda apareceu online. O grupo, The Neighbourhood, não revelou informação biográfica nem fotos, oferecendo apenas uma melancólica faixa entitulada "Female Robbery". Fãs e a imprensa ficaram confundidos, vasculhando a Internet atrás de alguma informação que pudesse levá-los à identidade deste músicos.
