Biografia:
Existem diversas bandas com o nome Placebo. As mais famosas são uma banda de alternative rock, formada em 1994 em Londres, Inglaterra e uma banda de jazz-rock formada em 1970 por Marc Moulin na Bélgica.
Os membros fundadores da primeira foram o britânico (nascido na Bélgica) Brian Molko (vocalista e guitarrista) e o sueco Stefan Olsdal (baixista). Devido a diferentes origens (Bélgica, Suécia, Luxemburgo, Inglaterra e Suíça) dos integrantes que formam/formaram o Placebo, este é considerado uma banda européia.
