Tudo começou em 1991, quando alguém reparou em Keith Kane numa festa local, em Georgetown, e lhe pediu para subir a um palco, entre atuações, para entreter o público com umas brincadeiras acústicas. No recinto, estava também Matthew Scannel, membro dos Fallout Shelter, que Kane convidou para o suceder, e repetir a dose.
