Biografia:
A família Van Halen era uma família de músicos. O pai de Edward e Alex tocava clarinete, e os dois aprenderam a tocar piano (clássico) desde cedo. Mais tarde, resolveram trocar o instrumento por uma guitarra e uma bateria. O curioso é que Eddie tocava bateria e Alex, guitarra! Com o tempo, Alex se interessou pela bateria e logo estava tocando melhor que o irmão, que decidiu ir tocar a guitarra. Troca maravilhosa se pensarmos nos músicos em que se tornaram.
