Biografia:
Os Carpenters foram uma dupla musical da década de 1970, composta pelos irmãos Karen (1950-1983) e Richard Carpenter (1946). Com seu estilo melódico, eles levaram à parada de sucessos muitas canções no Top 40 da música americana, tornando-se representantes do soft rock e se incluindo entre os artistas mais representativos da década.
Karen fazia dietas obsessivamente e desenvolveu anorexia nervosa, a qual se manifestou pela primeira vez em 1975
