Biografia:
Tudo começou no ano de 1987, na Alemanha, quando Markus Reinhardt e Pompejo Ricciardi formaram uma banda chamada Wolfsheim. O nome da banda, o mesmo de uma cidade de Rhenish, Alemanha, foi tirado do romance de Scott Fitzgerald "The Great Gatsby" (O Grande Gatsby), Meyer Wolfsheim era um dos personagens do livro. A dupla tornou-se um trio quando o irmão de Markus, Oliver Reinhardt juntou-se a banda. Logo após a produção da primeira fita-demo, Pompejo deixou a banda e como seu sucessor, indicou Peter Heppner.
