O Sebadoh foi um dos nomes mais representativos do rock alternativo americano durante os anos 90, ajudando a popularizar uma sonoridade conhecida como lo-fi. Ao lado do Pavement dos primeiros discos, o Sebadoh se notabilizou pelas gravações em quatro canais, sem requintes de estúdio, que priorizavam as canções e garantiam o clima espontâneo e verdadeiro de banda de garagem. Sem dúvida, o som do Sebadoh prova que não são necessários muitos recursos além de talento para fazer uma banda acontecer
