A banda criada na California e, atualmente, domiciliada em Nova Iorque, mais precisamente do Brooklyn, We Are Scientists é um trio facilmente confundido como uma banda britânica, formado por Keith Murray (guitarra e vocal) , Chris Cain (baixo e backing vocal) e Michael Tapper (ex - bateria e backing vocal) a banda de indie tem um som parecido com as já famosas, escocesa Franz Ferdinand e inglesa Bloc Party, assim como as mesmas, tem um som que baseia-se no movimento pós-punk.
