Biografia:

1) Originalmente chamada "Eric Burdon and War", a War é uma banda Californiana de Funk, conhecida pelo hit songs "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine" e "Why Can't We Be Friends?". Formada em 1969, War transcendeu barreiras raciais e culturais que fundindo elementos de rock, funk, jazz, música latina, R&B e reggae.
Embora as letras da banda tenham geralmente cunho sócio-político, suas melodias têm a levada vibrante do funk californiano. Uma particularidade da War é o uso de harmonica (gaita) e saxofone tocando em uníssono
