Biografia:
Twista nasceu Carl Terrell Mitchell em 27 de Novembro de 1973, em Illinois, Chicago. Seu álbum de 2004, "kamikaze", ocupou a primeira posição do Billboard 200, logo após o sucesso de seu single, "Slow Jamz", que ficou em primeiro no Billboard Hot 100.
Twista cresceu no lado sul de Chicago. Começou a fazer rap com 12 anos de idade, contudo, teve várias outras profissões antes de se tornar profissional. Trabalhou em uma fábrica, foi vendedor em uma loja de sapatos
