Tuomas Lauri Johannes Holopainen (25 de Dezembro de 1976) é um multi-instrumentista, compositor e produtor finlandês. Holopainen é mais conhecido como fundador, líder, tecladista e principal compositor da banda de metal sinfônico Nightwish, a qual faz parte até hoje.
Holopainen confessou que originalmente sua aspiração era ser biologo, apesar ter estudado clarinete, saxofone tenor, piano e teoria musical durante doze anos. O tecladista também disse que não gostava de heavy metal até sua adolescência
