Biografia:
O Toxik, de Nova Iorque, foi formado em 1985 pelo guitarrista Josh Christian, originalmente usando o nome Tokyo, até ser ameaçado legalmente por outra banda que havia se registrado antes. Não que isso importasse muito, já que o tipo complexo de heavy metal da banda também estava em alto fluxo em seus primeiros anos, e na época em que o grupo assinou um contrato com a Roadrunner Records no final dos anos 80, ele havia se transformado em um estilo híbrido em algum lugar entre o speed metal
