Toro y Moi é o nome artístico usado pelo cantor Chazwick Bundick. Sua música tem tomado muitas formas desde que ele começou a gravar, mas agora ele é identificado com o movimento chillwave de Verão de 2009.
Bundick nasceu em 7 de novembro de 1986, em Columbia, Carolina do Sul, e estudou na Ridgeview High School, onde ficou conhecido na Columbia como banda de indie rock The Heist and the Accomplice com três colegas de escola.
