Mas este não foi o primeiro nome desta banda americana. Primeiramente denominavam-se por "The Baby Killers", chegando à conclusão de que este nome era um pouco sanguinário, trocaram para "The Von Bondies" (alusão aos Von Trapps e James Bond)
