The Postelles fazem parte de uma linhagem ideológica que liga The Velvet Underground ao Ramones para Blondie e Television para o Walkmen, artistas com sensibilidade única e variada, certamente, mas que têm em comum uma fidelidade à canção de rock descaradamente sem adornos. The Postelles foram criados em todos os anos 50 e início dos anos 60 do rock'n'roll - Buddy Holly, Sam Cooke - estas foram as bandas que ouviam quando crianças, estas foram as bandas que as inspiravam, e que os reuniu na escola .
