A história do The Poodles tem ínicio em 2006 quando os suécos de Estocolmo, o vocalista Jakob Samuel (Talisman, Jekyll and Hyde e etc.), o guittarista Pontus Norgren (Bai Bang, Great King Rat, Talisman, Humanimal, Jekyll and Hyde, Zan Clan e etc.), o baixista Pontus Egberg (Lion's Share, Dark illusion, Ignition, Zan Clan) e o baterista Christian Lundqvist (R.A.W.) se unem para formar a banda e uma de suas primeiras exibições foi no Eurovision
