Biografia:
Fundada por Bruce Soord, Pineapple Thief é uma banda de rock progressivo, com algumas influências de space rock.
O primeiro álbum, Abducing the Unicorn foi lançado em maio de 1999. As críticas foram tão boas que convenceram Bruce Soord a continuar com a banda, fazendo-o lançar o segundo álbum em 2002, o 137, o qual foi muito bem recebido pelo público também.
Percebendo a reação do público quanto aos álbuns e a presença em shows, Bruce sentiu que essa era a hora de expandir o Pineapple Thief para uma banda completa
