The International Submarine Band

Blue Eyes

por The International Submarine Band
The International Submarine Band

Biografia:

The International Submarine Band (ISB) was formed by country rock pioneer Gram Parsons while a theology student at Harvard University and John Nuese, a guitar player for local rock group The Trolls. Nuese is largely credited with having persuaded Parsons to pursue the country rock sound he would later be remembered for, when the two first started the "ISB".[1] The two subsequently formed The "ISB". Parsons' work with the band predates his better known ventures with The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, and the Fallen Angels

[Intro]

[Verse 1]
G
Sometimes I get upset
D
When people treat me bad
C
I don't have time to think
G
And so I get real mad
G
I pull my hair and find somewhere
C
That I can be alone
D
But when I do I think of you
G
And then I hurry home

[Chorus]
C D
Where I got chores to keep me busy
G
A clock to keep my time
C G
A pretty girl to love me
D
With the same last name as mine
C
And when the flowers wilt
G
A big, old quilt to keep us warm
D
I've got the sun to see your blue eyes
G
And tonight you're in my arms

[Verse 2]
G
Sometimes I get unwound
D
When fancy cars drive past
C
Money don't get me down
G
But I can't make it last
G
I bite my nails and if that fails
C
I go get myself stoned
D
But when I do I think of you
G
And head myself back home

[Chorus]
C D
Where I got chores to keep me busy
G
A clock to keep my time
C G
A pretty girl to love me
D
With the same last name as mine
C
And when the flowers wilt
G
A big, old quilt to keep us warm
D
I've got the sun to see your blue eyes
G
And tonight you're in my arms
