Biografia:
Formado em 1962 (em algumas fontes 1963) , The Chieftains são um grupo musical que leva ao público a magia da música tradicional irlandesa.
Ao longo dos últimos 40 anos e quase tantos albúns, a banda viajou por diversos cantos do globo fazendo muito sucesso.
Em 1975, o grupo ganhou o elogio para seu álbum das mulheres da Irlanda para o filme Barry Lyndon de Stanley Kubrick. Ganhou seis prêmios Grammy e foi nomeado dezoito vezes. Ganharam também um Oscar, um Emmy e um Genie.
