Biografia:

The Castaways fue una banda americana, oriunda de Minnesota y es un claro exponente de nuestra amada musica de garage.
Con algunos cambios de formación la banda sigue tocando en nuestros días.
En 1965, el tema "Liar, liar" escrito por el lider de la banda James Donna, alcanza milagrosamente el número 12 en los charts.
Se trata de una canción muy simple, que carece de un estribillo pegadizo. Aún así queda dando vueltas en nuestras cabezas por la utilización de falsetto en el coro, aporte del guitarrista Robert Folschow.

rant to #12 in October, 1965. Dave Marsh: 'Twenty years later, Prince
came out of the same town with two-finger organ riffs that surpassed
