Biografia:
As The Butchies são uma banda lésbica e feminista de Durham, Carolina do Norte, EUA.
Formada pela guitarrista e vocalista Kaia Wilson, pela baixista Allison Martleu e pela baterista Melissa York, a banda tem tocado desde o lançamento do seu primeiro álbum "Are We Not Femme?", em 1998. Desde então o trio gravou mais três álbuns, "Population: 1975" em 1999, "3" em 2001 e "Make Yr Life" em 2003.
Em 2005 a banda anunciou um hiato.
