Biografia:
Tudo começou em 1973, quando Nick Cave era aluno da Caulfield Grammar School e resolveu formar uma banda com os amigos.
Tendo grande influência o glitter praticado por David Bowie, Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Roxy Music, Cave se juntou ao guitarrista Mick Harvey e ao baterista Phil Calvert, com membros flutuantes nos demais instrumentos.
O grupo começou a tomar forma quando o guitarrista Tracey Pew juntou-se ao combo em 1975 e, em 1976, nascia o The Boys Next Door, inspirado nos grupos punk locais como The Saints.
