Biografia:
Tears for Fears é uma dupla de synthpop/new wave britânica formada em 1981 em Bath, Inglaterra, pelos amigos de infância Roland Orzabal e Curt Smith. O grupo se destacou pela versatilidade de temas usados em suas canções, pelo detalhismo e pela vigorosa utilização do sintetizador.
Após o fim da banda de mod revival Graduate, Orzabal e Smith resolveram formar outro grupo. O nome Tears for Fears foi criado a partir dos ensinamentos do psicoterapeuta Arthur Janov, cuja teoria do Grito Primal havia fortemente influenciado John Lennon.
