[Verse]
D G D
Well I wish I had a smoke for which to take a drag to help
A
me ease this anxiety.
D G
Well the things I wish I?d done for you or the things I
D
wish I?d said to you seem to equal
A G D
all the pain that I feel inside of me.

[Chorus]
G D
You could take a puff, forget all that stuff that makes me
A
wonder why and how your gone
Bm G D
You just think of me and I?ll think of you, you can ride
A
your train to emptiness and I'll take
Bm
Mine back to sanity.

[Verse]
D G
Today you were gone and so was my lack of understanding
D
the way things used to be I
A D G
Wonder how. But for now I?ll just sulk in my own self
D
pity think about the times me and
A D
You we used to have.

[Chorus]
D G D
Here I sit, I finally got my wits about me I don?t think
A
of you as far as you know.
D G D
You?re here today, gone as fast tomorrow fill your heart
A
with joy my friends and soon
D
You too will know.

[Outro]
A G A D
I'll drive mine back to Tennessee
