Biografia:

Steely Dan é uma banda norte-americana centrada na dupla Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. O grupo ganhou popularidade nos anos 70, quando fez seis álbuns juntando elementos do jazz, rock, funk, R&B e pop. Inicialmente rock, sua canção absorveu complexas estruturas e harmonias com influências do jazz. O nome da banda se refere a um livro de William Burroughs. Além de Fagen (piano, teclados e vocal) e Becker (baixo e guitarra), a banda original tinha Denny Dias (guitarra)

You can vary the chords a little from the ones given above. For the
interlude (before the chorus) I think Dm7 sounds good, but a straight Dm
is fine too.

Also, a lot of the G and A chords can be played as Gadd9 and Aadd9 chords,
to vary the sound a little. For example, try playing x0242x instead of
x0222x once in a while. (On the original, the piano plays mostly Aadd9
and Gadd9, instead of plain A and G).
