Biografia:
Sparta é uma banda americana de rock vinda de El Paso, Texas, formada em 2001. Os membros fundadores Jim Ward (vocalista/guitarrista) e Tony Hajjar (baterista) também são membros da banda de post-hardcore At the Drive-In. Keeley Davis (guitarrista) é o ex-vocalista da banda Engine Down. Depois de lançarem três álbuns de estúdio a banda entra em hiato em junho de 2008, nesse tempo Jim Ward se concentrou em seu projeto Sleepercar. Em 3 de agosto de 2011, Jim anunciou oficialmente o retorno da banda em seu blog.
