Biografia:

Skeeter Davis (Mary Frances Penick) nasceu em 30 de Dezembro de 1931 na pequena cidade (Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Estados Unidos. A carreira de Skeeter Davis começa no final da década de 1940, quando ainda na adolescência entrou para o grupo The Sisters Davis e, em 1951, assinou contrato com a RCA Records Label. Foi uma das primeiras a alcançar o auge da Country Music naquela época, tanto que acabou sendo a primeira cantora da Country Music indicada ao Grammy com a canção "Homebreaker".
