Biografia:
Silver Jews é uma banda estado-unidense de indie rock, formada em 1989 pelo escritor David Berman juntamente com Stephen Malkmus e Bob Nastanovich, ambos do Pavement. Algumas vezes considerada como um projeto paralelo do Pavement (o baterista do Pavement Steve West também foi membro da banda), na verdade "The Joos" formou-se antes do Pavement. O álbum The Natural Bridge (1996) não contava com nenhum músico do Pavement entre seus integrantes, dando aos ouvintes um som mais calmo
