Biografia:
Shearwater é uma banda de Austin, Texas formada em 2001 como um projeto paralelo de Jonathan Meiburg e Will Sheff, ambos da banda Okkervil River. Assim foram lançados os álbuns The Dissolving Room (2001), Everybody Makes Mistakes (2002) e Winged Life (2004)Com o sucesso alcançado pelo Okkervil River em 2005 com o lançamento de Black Sheep Boy, Will Sheff afastou-se do grupo deixando para Jonathan o posto de cantor e principal compositor a partir do aclamado Palo Santo (2006).
