Shawn Hook, anteriormente conhecido por Shawn Hlookoff, nasceu no dia 5 de Setembro de 1985 em Nelson, British Columbia, Canadá. Aos 4 anos de idade começou aprender piano. Posteriormente violão, trombone e baixo. Estudou teatro e atuou como ator e cantor. Além de compositor, produtor. Atingiu a indústria americana por meio de composições e produção de musicas para seriados das emissoras ABC e ABC Family, como Kyle XY.
