Biografia:
Richard Shannon Hoon (nascido em Lafayette, Indiana no dia 26 de Setembro de 1967 e falecido em 21 de Outubro de 1995) era o vocalista da banda americana Blind Melon. Gozava de grande prestígio entre os fãs da banda, principalmente entre o público feminino, mas morreu de overdose de Cocaína no auge do sucesso.
Shannon foi encontrado morto no ônibus da turnê de divulgação do album SOUP na cidade de Nova Orleans. SOUP foi lançado no dia 15 agosto de 1995.
