Produziu trilhas para jogos de grande sucesso como a série Final Fantasy.
Uematsu também assina obras autônomas, como o CD "The Black Mages", lançado em 2003, com uma reinterpretação sua e de vários artistas sobre seus temas para Final Fantasy.
