Biografia:
Nico (cujo nome verdadeiro é Christa Päffgen) nasceu em Cologne, na Alemanha em 1938. Despontou para a fama como modelo na Europa e em sua participação no filme "La Dolce Vita", de Federico Fellini.
Em 1965, Nico parte pra New York onde conhece o diretor Andy Warhol que logo a coloca como vocalista da banda que estava produzindo, o Velvet Underground. Porém, Nico nunca foi aceita como membro oficial pelo vocalista Lou Reed (com quem teve um affair) e pelo resto da banda
