Biografia:
Sabaton é uma banda de power metal sueca criada em 1999 da qual usa temas sobre a guerra em suas músicas.
Em 1999 Joakim Brodén, Rickard Sundén, Oskar Montelius, Daniel Mÿhr , Daniel Mullback e Pär Sundström juntaram-se para formar uma banda. Depois das primeiras músicas serem gravadas a banda começou a receber convites de gravadoras. Em 2000 é apresentado o promo cd Fist for Fight, que inclui um cover Ken Kelly (Manowar).
Um ano depois deste lançamento, a banda grava o primeiro álbum, Metalizer.
