O cantor/compositor australiano Ry Cuming — mais conhecido como Ry X — encontrou sucesso comercial com seu disperso e atmosférico single "Berlin", que foi usado em uma campanha publicitária para as TVs da Sony em 2013. Nascido na cidade costeira de Angourie, Novo Gales do Sul, Ry cresceu escutando Pearl Jam e Jeff Buckley, e suas influências podem ser escutadas em sua distinta e etérea voz. Em 2010 ele mudou-se para Los Angeles para buscar sua carreira musical e foi eventualmente recompensado quando ele foi percebido pela Jive Records
