Town-o, town-o,

Town-o, town-o,

Jump up John, the gray goose is gone,

D
Town-o, town-o,

Blow, said the fox, it is good music still,
D
But I will soon be out of the town-o.

Oh, lawsy massa daddy, you had better go again,

Journey, journey,

Lawsy massa daddy, you had better go again,

We think you had a lucky journey.
