Rick James (*1 de fevereiro de 1948, +6 de agosto de 2004) era um cantor, compositor e produtor norte-americano de funk e soul. Seu nome de batismo era James Johnson, Jr. e nasceu na cidade de Buffalo, estado de Nova Iorque.
