Ex-tecladista do Starflyer 59, Richard Swift é um cantor, compositor e multi-instrumentista que gravava trabalhos sob o pseudônimo Dicky Ochoa.
Iniciou sua carreira com o EP Walking Without Effort em 2001, e em 2007 conheceu Jeff Tweedy nos bastidores do programa "Later...with Jools Holland" e foi convidado para participar da turnê do Wilco nos Estados Unidos.
